Cult Couture 2012

The Whole-Hole bodysuit won the Cult Couture 2012 Flight of Fantasy Category! What an exciting night at the TelstraClear Pacific and what an exciting achievement for me and all those who made it possible. Thanks TelstraClear for sponsoring my category and the generous prize. Underground – Media

My collection the the Wanganui Chronicle promoting the Underground Youth Fashion Show. I was their guest designer given the opportunity to showcase my Ugly and Whole-Hole collections.

UGLY Collection

As the winner of Underground Youth Fashion Show 2010 I had the privilege of exhibiting my work in the show. Not only did I get to show my collection but I also got to show my Ugly Manifesto video which is playing in the background (music by Cinephile). The collection and video is about appreciating how evocative ugly things can be, protrusions, hairyness, fracturing, distorting. In addition I wanted to highlight that the word Ugly is the most honest word in the English language because its written appearance and sound reflects its actual meaning.
